- Madhuvanam was built under the instructions of Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, by a group of students from Trivandrum led by Sri Krishnan Kartha.Swamy gave them instructions on building up and running of madhuvanam through 49 interviews between 1989 and 2000. Old devotees might be remembering the Ganesh idol which was kept on Swamy's darshan pathway until the building of Sai Kulwant hallin Prasanthi Nilayam.Swamy instructed to install this Ganesh idol at Maduvanam in 1995.Now a bigger temple is being built for this idol there. Madhuvanam has been engaged in rural welfare, medical and educational activities from 1990 onwards.Under Swamy's guidance Madhuvan Sai Vidyashram School (ICSE) is also on the formation stage.Daily free medical clinic,free pre school, free tailoring institute, free computer institute for rural women are some of the activities at Madhuvanam. Two yajnas are conducted in October and December-January in Tantrik and Vaidik tenets respectively. A linga "Sathya Sai Madhuvaneswara" was installed at Madhuvanam as part of Maha Rudra Yajna.
